Throughout Labor Day Weekend, San Francisco is hosting Slow Food Nation '08 at various venues throughout the city. The event delivers on its mission to catalyze the growing sustainable food movement and celebrate food that is good, clean and fair.
It may be Slow Food, but the event sold out quickly after tickets went on sale -- but luckily not before Rebecca was able to score two Tasting Pavilions entries. Here's what it looked like when we came to the table (click on thumbnails for larger images):
The Slow crowd.
Candy, little girl?
I scream.
A sample of a Ruby Jewel -- honey lavender ice cream sandwiched between two lemon cookies. You can buy them (and other flavors) at Whole Foods and Rainbow Grocery. Unless I get there first.
A lovely macchiato.
The line for the Cheese Pavilion was waaay too long. So we had seconds on ice cream instead.
Fro Fro--
Your captions crack me up. Totally you! Hope you are having a fun weekend!
