That's right, Apolo Ohno -- my pick to win -- took home the lovely mirror-ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars last night! Note to Apolo - when you asked me to, I called for you. Now it's your turn! But seriously, I'm going to miss my weekly doses of OhYes, the inimitable judges (American Idol has nothing on these three), Bruno's passionately delivered metaphors ("The Apolo Express is off on a magic ride!"), host Tom Bergeron's quick-witted responses to all the craziness of live TV, the peeks behind the scenes and, of course, the dance performances. If you're looking for a guilty pleasure, don't miss next season.
The night before, Tessa (from San Francisco!) won the heart of Andy Baldwin, the Bachelor (an officer and a gentleman). I called that one, too, from the minute she said (in the 2nd or 3rd episode, I think) that she was planning to do Wildflower. Interestingly, and perhaps not surprisingly, I didn't find her name listed in the race results.
What I did not see coming, and is a great surprise -- is that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is coming back tomorrow night! There are those who think that shows like Studio 60 are doomed to fail these days because of shows like Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor. Let's prove them wrong, people!
